  1. Biodiversity is important because it helps the earth remain healthy. For example it helps the green plants collect carbon dioxide. I liked the video because it helped me understand the importance of biodiversity. I liked the visuals such as the colours N.K

  2. I find biodiversity really interesting, it can strengthen our hold on a healthy environment and even create new species. I find it heart breaking that over hunting/fishing, pollution and over or under population of a certain species (including us) can loosen our hold. I think we should have more reserves to allow biodiversity to thicken, as well as for us to observe and enjoy it. Biodiversity is an important aspect of our environment, we should do our best to help it grow.

  3. I think biodiversity is amazing and it can help us grow and stengthin our enviorment because it can also develop new species. I find it crool that some people find hunting or fishing as a sport and it makes me a little upset because amagine if you were that qazel you just killed or if you were that fish you just caght and eat well i woulden't be to happy eather.I think we should try to keep a control on climate change, I also think we should try to care, respect and nurture our enviorment and if we can keep biodiversity safe we can do all of that I also think we shouldenjoy our enviorment as much as we can.

  4. I think biodiversity can be an amazing thing but not all ways it's able to create all new species but kill coral reefs and jungles. If everybody contributed to care for the earth none of the coral reefs, jungles and species would have to die from our actions. so hear what I say and something about biodiversity today.

  5. i think biodiversity is cool because it can help environment and it can make new species of animals. the bad parts of biodiversity is it can kill coral reefs cause of people hunting or littering and then it will start killing fish.

  6. My personal thoughts on biodiversity is over enjoyed because biodiversity is living life. I am also sad because extinction, is a natural part of any living habitat. And there are many threats to biodiversity which can lead to extinction. Lucky there are also many ways to help prevent extinction for biodiversity. Helping biodiversity can even start with you.

  7. I think bio-diversity is the best thing since sliced bread, because it helps us create new species and makes new jungles and coral reefs. However bio-diversity loss is one of the worst things on planet Earth I mean coral just turning into rock with the snap of your fingers and jungles turning into a hot, sandy desert. But we the people can help bio-diversity in ways such as, getting rid of invasive species and educating children (that's us) about the bio-diversity problem. So, together "I think we should think like a fish and swim up the good river that is bio-diversity". Together we can get rid of biodiversity loss so "do what I say and help bio-diversity today!" 8. I think biodiversity is fantastic its incredible it creates new species like the tree octopus it creates beautiful ecosystems but biodiversity loss is terrible! It turns jungles into deserts and coral reefs into lifeless rocks and the animals lose their homes and go extinct like the dodo but we can stop biodiversity loss by stopping climate change and many other ways "I think we need to think like a fish and swim up the good river that is biodiversity" THE END

  9. I think biodiversity is really important. It keeps the world, and all the species healthy. We need to keep the world safe and strong. By littering in the oceans, it can cause coral to die out. Coral is really important because, it contributes to tons of underwater life. By cutting down trees it can create real problems for some animals. It can ruin there habitat which can make them at risk of extinction. We should keep what we already have such as buildings, and not just keep building more and destroying animals homes. I think that the loss of biodiversity is horrible, but biodiversity is what makes the world a better, and more lively place.

  10. I think the loss of biodiversity would be horrible. We need the "weave" of ecosystem, species and genetics to help our world stay strong or even thrive. The lack of habitats due to cutting down trees is not helping the situation. Also you should think twice before polluting our oceans and lakes. This could cause damage such as the loss of coral reefs, which, is followed up by the loss of fish because of their lack of habitats. Now this all leads to animal and plant extinction which narrows down our food options. So let’s all work together to help keep our world as strong and healthy as it should be!

  11. I think biodiversity is the best thing that we could ever ask for, but it is slowly going away. Biodiversity is everything living on planet earth. It is made up of the ecosystem, the specie, and the genetic diversity. As I said biodiversity is slowly going away by habitat lost, extinct species, pollution, and many more problems. We can save biodiversity by doing the opposite of what we are doing to hurt it. Some possible solutions are, to reuse old buildings and knock it down to make new ones, be more care full when you fish in the ocean, and use less electricity at home. So a little dose a lot for the environment.

  12. I think biodiversity is great, so the fact that it is dying down is horrible. Biodiversity is different ecosystems and all living species on Earth that have a relationship with each other. Biodiversity is slowly going away because of pollution, littering, climate changes and lots of others. Some solutions that can help save biodiversity are, putting garbage in the right bins, reuse things as much as possible and walk instead of driving. Biodiversity is a great thing to have in our environment so help save it!

  13. I think that biodiversity can help a lot, it helps create new species and make our world full of life. However we the people are destroying biodiversity and that cant happen! our pollution and carelessness for the environment is wrecking our system so help out more. educate your kids and tell others about this threat. Because together we will think like a fish and swim up the good river that is biodiversity!

  14. I think biodiversity is very important. It keeps all living things healthy. But because we pollute, take away their homes because the human population is growing, climate changes and that is just to name a few. We are slowly destroying biodiversity. If everyone would do their part to take care of our world, we are actually doing our part to protect biodiversity. Biodiversity helps us, so let's help biodiversity.

  15. My personal thought on the endangered Jefferson Salamander is mad. I think our society should focus more on endangered animals, because clearly everyone is to busy on there electronics. Than to worry about these poor animals. But I am also happy because Ontario is taking action on this problem, by protecting our wildlife. I would also actually really want a salamander as a pet because their are so cute and tiny.

  16. My personal thought on the endangered species of cute and tiny ecosystem helpers known as the Jefferson Salamanders. Are that these small and very helpful amphibians to our ecosystem are endangered because of humans like us destroying there home territory and running them over with our mini vans. I think it would be very smart to build tunnels under king and many more roads to keep the Jefferson Salamanders safe from humans like us.

  17. Why did the Jefferson salamander cross the road? To get to the other breeding ground, but that's not happening due to careless people crushing the helpless things with their vans, trucks and skateboards. We can help these salamanders by building tiny tunnels underneath the road so the little salamanders can cross. So "think like a salamander and cross the good road that is freedom!

  18. I think that the jefferson salamanders are very un harmful creatures because they do the opisite of harming us because they help us with the eco system but on thing i just dont undestand is why do we still take away their homes when they are just trying to help and by takeing away their homes im mean we have taken a road and put it smack in the middle of where the salamander live and where they breed witch i think is just crool espaecly seeing how most of the jefferson salamanders have gone excstinct just so we can take a short cut to work and bying doing that we run them over and there's one or more less jefferson salamanders in the world. This is why i think we should protect this creature so do what i say and save a salamander today.

  19. I think it is great that they closed the road for the Jefferson salamander to cross safely. But it is a shame that these selfish people take down the signs and drive down the road anyway. These salamanders play an important roll in our ecosystem and they are already endangered so lets give some respect to these small, helpless creatures and follow the RULES!

  20. I think that we should be able to give up a road to help the environment. the little salamander have enough problems like hungry predators. I am glad the mayor will help protect the little guys and turn them into a non threatened species. I really hope that all the people taking down the barriers are ashamed of them selves. I really think we can turn the salamanders hope around.

  21. I think people should be more careful around there surroundings. People should care more about endangered species. I think its great that they are closing the road for 3 weeks every year because those salamanders are just as important as every single one of us. But i think it was wrong that people made a road right through the salamanders habitat

  22. I think that it’s great that they closed King Road for the Jefferson Salamanders to cross. They are just trying to get from they’re hibernation spot to their breeding grounds and getting hit by cars driving down the road. The Jefferson Salamanders eat certain bugs, and animals such as hawks and frogs eat the salamanders. So if the Jefferson Salamander becomes extinct, the food chain will be disrupted, and cause major problems for the rest of our ecosystem. We should build tunnels under the road for the salamanders to pass safely. Keep our ecosystem safe, keep the Jefferson Salamander safe.

  23. my personal thought on the Jefferson salamanders is that its good that they closed off the roads so they can go to the new home and they wont get killed because the roads would be closed off because they could have a chance to be extinct if there was none because all of them would probably go across and get hit by a car

  24. I think it is really sad that these poor little reptiles are being killed by selfish people who think to them self. I don't get why people are protesting to have a road back because it is just a shortcut for them while these poor creatures are just trying to get to there breeding pool. If they go the whole ecosystem goes with it. So shame on all those people who don't care about the endangered Jefferson salamander they are special to the environment.
